South Carolina Blizzard of 2010
Here’s just a quick panorama showing the snow we got last Friday.
Here’s just a quick panorama showing the snow we got last Friday.
Here is my most recent night terror attack. This one is more tame than the others I have had, but still scary. If you listen close, you can hear me trying to knock the spiders off the bed. I wonder what I would have done if Phil hadn’t woken up.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/spiders.mp3|titles=Spiders]I really wish I knew who I was talking to in my dream and what it is I was trying to see. That sound you hear at the end is me picking up and putting on my glasses. Phil said I put them on and stared at my bed side table.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/giberish.mp3|titles=giberish]People confuse me both in real life and in my dream world.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/whatareyoutalkingabout.mp3|titles=whatareyoutalkingabout]Here are a few more clips of my insanity. Phil couldn’t sleep, so he decided to talk to me once I said something to see what I would say back to him. At least now I have some understanding to what I was dreaming about.
I have no idea what that weird chattering sound is in the beginning – Sugar Glider sounds possibly, but if you listen closely to the end, you can hear me trying to knock the bugs off of the bed.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/bugs.mp3|titles=bugs]I can’t blame myself. Disappearing would be a little unnerving. At least I said please.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/disappear.mp3|titles=disappear]When we first got Quantum, I used to dream about him being in the bed all the time. It is pretty impossible to catch something that isn’t really there. I can only guess those are Sugar Glider sounds at the beginning. Maybe I was trying to talk to him.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/quantum.mp3|titles=quantum]I don’t know what my obsession is with there being something in the room. It sorta freaks me out that is happens so frequently. Maybe there really is something in the room. Oh, and never believe me if I tell you I am wide awake when I should be asleep. I was definitely not awake for this conversation.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/somethingintheroom.mp3|titles=somethingintheroom]Watch this optical illusion… Does it go right or left? And then listen and try to figure out what the hell I’m saying while sleeping again…
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/totheright.mp3]Demon? Gas? Me moving the covers quickly? I’ll let you decide, but my vote is for a demon. I’ll wash his mouth out if I ever get the chance.
Here’s the monster cursing.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/feh.mp3]Nothing special. Just me trying to figure out what someone said.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/hmm.mp3]“That’s what I was thinking.”
Most commonly said by those who have no freaking clue what is going on. Yet, they feel compelled to say, “That’s what I was thinking!” In hopes of you thinking they might just be smart or cool.
That weird crackling noise after I said,” That’s what I was thinking,” is me laughing according to Phil.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/thatswhatiwasthinking.mp3]Apparently, in my sleep, I have learned how to speak whale.
[audio:/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/whalesounds.mp3]So, despite what Phil believes, I think that the demon that was cussing at me earlier came back to the room and scared the piss out of me. Here is the transcript of what I said or at least what I think I said. The bold and italicized is what I think the demon said. Uber creepy if you ask me.
“It is . . . oh . . . oh . . . it is . . . It’s me . . . what is that right there . . . who is there?”
After typing “It’s me” into Google, I figured out what really must have been in my room.
Cookie Monster, of course.

I wouldn’t mind seeing it once or twice more before the winter is over – just as long as it doesn’t keep me from going any where.

There was snow in Linyi last week, but this week it is all gone and a spring-like 10C. We never have snow like in the blizzard panorama here, some years it snows and some years it doesn’t. What is your arrival date?
February 24, 2010 @ 4:49 AM
We very rarely get any snow at all. This was a freak accident. All week long they said that we would either get nothing or a dusting. They said that the only weather model indicating any accumulation was the Japanese weather model. So far away, but yet they nailed it!! 🙂
I should know my departure date this weekend when I get my visa. Probably March 10th-ish. Give or take a few days. I’ll let you know.
