I am currently living in Shanghai with my husband and our evil Shiba Inu, Meili.  Since I am currently unemployed, I have all the time in the world to explore this massive city and blog about my experiences. I originally came to China in 2006 as an English teacher.  During my one year stint, I taught mainly in two cities - Fuyang, located in the Zhejiang province, and Xiamen, located in the Fujian province.  When my year was up, I returned to the good ole' US of A, but quickly realized that I hadn't gotten my fill of China.  I returned in March of 2010. During my second year in China, I worked in the Foreign Affairs office in Linyi, located in the Shandong province, assisting over 70 teachers - trying to make sure their experiences in China were good ones.  That wasn't always the easiest task. When my contract ended there, my husband and I decided to make the move to Shanghai because a great opportunity became available to him.  And that is where we are now.  God only knows where we will be in a year or two from now, but in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy our life here. Hopefully, you will, too.
